First takeaway: you have to try their rosemary garlic fries. Hands down, my favorite fries I have ever had, and I am a fry connoisseur.
Second takeaway:...
Our first visit to this wonderfully comfortable restaurant. We started out with an Onion Rings appetizer. These were definitely some of the best onion rings we've had. For dinner we got the Clubhouse Wrap and The Real Double hamburger. Both were excellent. With the Real Double we opted for the Rosemary-Garlic Fries which are very good but very garlicky. If you want a light touch of garlic, don't do these. We enjoyed the meal and time we spent at Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse.
First time visit tonight. These burgers are next level amazing. We got the Celestial and Pastrami burger(pictured). Both were amazing. The pastrami itself was so flavorful and is worth getting as a sandwich all its own. The burgers were cooked a perfect medium and were seasoned correctly. We got both the regular fries and the garlic fries. I loved the garlic fries, they are not kidding around about the garlic flavor. The servers and staff were very friendly and were chatting as they cleaned. My only(really ONLY) critique is that the fries are called garlic rosemary, and with that much garlic, the rosemary is lost. We will be returning and can't wait to try their brunch food.
The food was great. The burgers are cooked just right. The service was okay but not amazing by any means. Cordial, polite, but never came by to check on our drinks or anything like that. We were there at 3:00 on a Friday afternoon so it was not busy. They do nickel and dime a little bit. A buck-fifty up charge to get fried pickles instead of fries but then only got three fried pickles. What's that about?? I did not want their lucky sauce, I wanted ranch instead and it was a 50 cent up charge. Again, the burger was amazing though so I still give it three stars.
This place was amazing. Gilbert our server was so awesome. My 6 year old daughter food wasn't brought out because it was served to another table and when Gilbert saw he made sure her grilled cheese came out promptly and it was fresh both fries and the sandwich and apologized profusely. It was absolutely not a problem as we were enjoying conversation and shared my meal with her. He afterwards gave her an ice cream sandwich on the house which was so amazing and unexpected but very appreciated. Gilbert if you read this please know you made our first time there absolutely memorable and my family and I will definitely be back!
Chris was great today at the Jordan Landing location! He was kind and knowledgeable about the burgers & drinks and very thorough in explaining them to us when we had any questions about what to try. We had a group of 6 ladies who stayed for a long visit trying to catch up and he was so patient & kind. The food was great and so was our waiter. Next time I'll take the husband with me-it was great!
I came in with high recommendations, and usually that leads to disappointment. So I decided to leave all the high praise at home and went just hoping it would be good... well, it ended up being amazing! I got ghe Pigpen and regular fries. The fries were really good, crispy and great taste. But the burger!!! Oh my... Starting with the bun, the bun was fresh, and tasty! The patty is thick, cooked to perfection and great seasoning. The ham was good and it came with Swiss and Cheddar cheese melted and delicious. I must say even the lettuce on the burger was great. Needless to say I'm coming back! I should also mention that their service was stellar!!!
I go out to eat for delicious food, so this one gets a thumbs down from me. We've eaten at Lucky 13 downtown and loved it. We were hoping for a closer option, and truth be told, I will probably come back for just the garlic fries because I can't get enough of that flavor. Maybe they had a new cook or something as the fries and onion rings were undercooked. Our server was AWESOME. But the food was only barely meh. The restaurant was clean and the food was fresh, it just wasn't very delicious.
